What does it cost?
Consultations in the app cost $40 for all patients enrolled with Blue Penguin Medical. Community Service Card holders have a discounted rate of $19.50. Children under 14 years old are free. Repeat prescriptions cost $10.
How do doctor consultations work?
It’s like using WhatsApp or other messaging apps. Start a consult with a Blue Penguin Medical doctor whenever you need them by sending a private and secure message. Your message is sent directly to the doctor and you will be notified as soon as they respond. If needed, the doctor can start a live audio or video call with you. You can send text and voice messages, make voice and video calls, and share images and documents, all from inside the app.
When are Blue Penguin Medical doctors available?
Blue Penguin Medical doctors are available during our normal hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Mon – Fri. However, you can start a consult with a doctor at any time and you will be notified as soon as they respond. Blue Penguin Medical aims to respond to consultation requests within 4 hours during normal clinic hours.
How do I pay for consults in the app?
When you register in the app, you can add a debit or credit card to your profile to securely pay for consults with Blue Penguin Medical doctors. When your consultation is completed, payment is made automatically. If your consult is free (for example, for a child under 14 years old), no charges will be made.
Is Well Revolution safe?
When you use Well Revolution, you are trusting us with your information. We take your privacy seriously. The app and our services are subject to all healthcare and privacy laws and regulations in New Zealand. All doctors on Well Revolution are professional, qualified and licensed in New Zealand. Our strict privacy policies and data protection methods are designed to keep your information safe and secure.
What do prescriptions cost?
Getting a new prescription is included as part of your consultation with Blue Penguin Medical doctors.Repeat prescriptions cost $10.The big difference with the app is you get to choose which pharmacy you want your prescription to go to. The pharmacy you choose may charge a prescription fee when you pick it up. Some pharmacies offer free prescriptions.
How do prescriptions work?
Doctors create and send paperless prescriptions instantly in the app. Then select your nearest pharmacy for the most convenient pick-up location.
